I did have problems with the first lamp that I bought after only a couple of uses. I contacted the seller. He was prompt in responding to my emails about the warranty. I have just received a replacement and I will update more about this lamp soon.

Awesome light for camping
I was looking for the perfect camping light / lantern, and after trying various solar- and gas-powered models, finally found the Firefly made by Barefoot Power. I love it! It's the perfect light for backpacking / camping. I charge mine while hiking by leaving the solar panel on the outside of my bag while it's plugged in to the light, which I keep on the inside of my bag. Both are compact and durable and lightweight. When I hook the light to a nearby tree branch, the "high" setting puts off enough light to illuminate the entire campsite (which is great for setting up tents and getting dinner ready), while the "medium" setting is excellent for eating / playing games around a picnic table, and the "low" setting is the perfect reading light in your tent. I haven't had any problems with battery life - in fact, I have yet to run out of battery even when the lamp has been on the "high" setting for a couple hours. Smashing little light
Love my new little Firefly12! Worth the wait for the new model with the more powerful lithium ion battery to be manufactured and stocked. It worked right out of the box--no delayed gratification. Its light weight and small size belie its bright and flexible light (adjusts to different light levels). Besides the holier-than-thou green footprint we can brag about, it's great for places where you don't have a plug or don't want wires, but need light--kitchen, porch, bathtub--or want a low-level light (on the lower setting) so as not to bother anyone. Might even take it on trips as one of my pet peeves is not having a lamp on both sides of the bed. Got a second for my son to take camping, but not sure I want to part with it! This is going to be a go-to gift item. Can't imagine anyone who couldn't find a use for it. BTW, was going to get the unit with the phone charger until I realized it might not work on my smart phone.
