Stopped working within a day.
I was very excited to receive this lamp. It worked perfectly a few times, but then stopped working completely the next day. =(

Not a high quality product
I really liked the appearance of this lamp (based on its online profile) but was very disappointed by it when it arrived. It looks and feels cheap, despite its higher price relative to other better quality lamps available at home furnishing and hardware stores. The touch-on/off functionality is inconsistent - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Alternatively, it sometimes produces a strobe-light effect that can only be stopped by unplugging the lamp. Is this a fire hazard? The base of the lamp is not solid; it is a felt pad stuck on to the bottom of the lamp, which makes the lamp feel unstable. Also, the metal rim on the bottom of the lamp, to which the felt pad sticks, has rough edges and feels like it could injure a person if he or she were not careful.
The lightbulb wattage rating is wrong in the description
On this Amazon site as well as Home Depot, Target, and many other sites, the light bulb wattage for this lamp is listed as 150.
When the lamp was delivered, the sticker on the lamp is 40 watts. I emailed the company (ORE) in Cerritos, CA. They confirmed that the max light bulb wattage is indeed 40.
