beautiful lamp
I love this lamp. It's pretty AND it's functional, and like other reviewers have stated, it's much prettier in person. It has a small footprint ~ less 6" in diameter, so it doesn't take up a lot of space, which is great because I'm using it on my worktable where I need to spread out my art supplies. It's very sturdy, and I can use the bottom to display a few small items (the circle base).
I like that it's tall - 27" - and has a very pretty (and slim) shade. The design is interesting but also simple, and the brushed nickel is very pretty, but not terribly shiny / distracting. The lamp is packed well with the minimal amount of cardboard needed. Also, it does not need a special bulb - a regular 60w works just fine.
On another note, there was a slight problem with the first lamp I received. I contacted the company, who provided outstanding customer service and got it fixed.

The Portable lamp, Home Design South Beach Eclectic Table Lamp are very nice. They are alot taller than expected. Checked the listing and it said W: 7.5 L: 7.5 H: 26.75... but they are about 46 inches tall.
