This lamp is a terrific accessory for the craftsman, hobbyist, mechanic and jeweler. It puts shadow-free lighting around a 3-1/2-Inch diameter, 5 power lens to let you see small parts and fine details, and is excellent for precision work. With a compact base measuring only 7-1/2-Inch by 6-Inch, it takes up very little room on your workbench. The goose neck lets you put the light and the magnification where you need it. Other features include a heavy metal base for stability and a flip-down cover to keep the magnifier free of dust.
With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Some good features, one big flaw
This magnifier lamp is much better than most because it has a clear glass lens. Most such lamps use a plastic lens that causes distortion. So, the image here is clean and wide, good light source (not color corrected), and the flip-up dust cap is a good idea. But there's one glitch to be wary of; the place where the gooseneck connects to the base. This spot supports the weight of heavy glass magnifier and lamp assembly, but is only a part of the thin plastic shell that covers the base. Mine broke within weeks. Impossible to repair. If you buy this lamp, treat it VERY carefully, especially where the neck emerges from the base. It's not reinforced as it should be.

This magnifying light is okay because the strength is good, but it just won't stand up right and keeps falling over. Keep looking!
GREAT LIGHT
IF YOU GET ONE OF THESE LIGHTS GET THE SE brand,,no problems with tipping over like the other brand styles I had..The only concern I have is if the bulb burns out,where to get a replacement..If anyone knows can you give me the link or company that carries it .......thanks
