great lamps!
These were exactly what I was looking for. They are not in any way small and cheesy, nor are they oversized and gaudy. They accomodate a 3-way bulb, and fit in with my decor nicely.

I absolutely love these lamps. I wouldn't necessarily call them "dark red" though. They are definitely on the espresso side of things with that natural red tint that most espresso furniture has. Also, as a previous reviewer stated, the lamp shades do not have black lines that frame each panel. The "black lines" appear when the light is turned on and the lamp shade frame blocks the passage of light through the lamp shade. The lamps were extremely simple to put together and I think the quality is excellent thus far. I highly recommend! :)
