Works as designed
I used these (although purchased at Best Buy in a kit), together with the wider Wiremold C50 White Cordmate II 5-Foot Wire Channel,, to route speaker wire for my surround system. The wider version is easier to use than the smaller version - although both have their benefits.
I did not use the connectors provided in the kit, as the ends line up pretty well without it. I did not paint them, as it matched my molding well enough.
With the wider version, you can stick it on the wall with the opening exposed, run the wires through while its open, then snap it closed easily. With the smaller version, its easier to run the wire through it before you stick it the wall, and I was never actually able to get them to snapped closed. But this didn't really cause a problem as the opening doesn't really show, and I also have them hidden behind my curtains.

Wiremold cordmate
The product was fine but they way it appeared on online was deceiving. I was looking for a plastic molding to hold multiple cables but this holds only one, thin one.
Awesome for speaker wires
There are a few negative reviews about the size, but for running speaker wire this product works perfectly. I was able to run two wires along my living room and probably could have easily fit another wire or two in there relatively easily.
Pros
- The channels look great and are very discrete
- Very easy to use the adhesive tape
Cons
- Channels are relatively difficult to close, but I definitely did not need pliers to do so and they close securely
- Some of the cord was difficult to push through the opening. However, what I found easy to do was to first run the cable in the general area you wanted it, then begin running the cable into the channel. Instead of trying to force the cable down the entire length of the channel, once a bit of the cord is inserted, slide the channel along the length of the cable
